October 2021 Newsletter

As we draw into the autumn here in the UK and as the new academic year gets underway, I want to post an update as to how things are going with Expedition Pursuit and what you can expect from this website in the following months!

What has been happening at Expedition Pursuit?

First and foremost an apology. I haven't been uploading a lot in the past while and this is due to how busy I have been lately- I am now in my third and final year at Northumbria University and I also work part time in a bar as well as a café which takes up a lot of my free time. BUT! Things are getting exciting and I will explain why.

More Time to Focus on Expedition Pursuit.

As I approach the end of my time at university it is time to start sailing the Expedition Pursuit flagship into more devoted and committed waters. This is why, this academic year, I will be seeking to team up with the Northumbria enterprise team to help me develop my aspirations for Expedition Pursuit.

This website will be a large aspect of my employability portfolio in years to come therefore, every Friday, it is my aim to spend time devoted to website expansion, blogging and more.

Bringing Commerce to the Frontline.

Expedition Pursuit, in my eyes, has always been a business which is why I am delighted to announce the upcoming launch of the EP Store!

I have always been passionate about the outdoors and trying to help people seize the opportunity to become passionate themselves, hence, this store will provide you with the necessary equipment to do so. All at a reasonable price.

The exact date of this launch is to be confirmed so keep an eye on our social media pages and your emails if you are not already subscribed.

The Corfu Trail

As travelling becomes more accessible following the vaccine rollout and many countries are being removed from the red list I am excited to announce the reveal of my new travel destination which is Corfu Island in Greece.

This is a 190km trail and will take me approximately 10 days to complete so I will make this into a series as I did with the Wicklow Way. However, as this will require time and resources to complete so I will not be undertaking this expedition until the summer of 2022, but I will ensure to keep you posted as I prepare for this exciting new adventure!

Thank You!

Finally, I want to say thank-you for visiting this website. Every visit means a lot to me and gives me the encouragement to keep this page running. Like I mentioned earlier, be sure to subscribe to my mailing list and social media pages. It is completely free and allows me to stay more in touch with you, especially with things getting more busy at Expedition Pursuit.

Warm Regards,

Jake Shortland
